- Inspect Raw Materials, In-Process, and Finished Products:
- Conduct detailed inspections of raw materials to ensure they meet quality standards before production.
- Monitor the production line to check that in-process products adhere to quality specifications.
- Perform final inspections on finished products to ensure they are free from defects and comply with quality and safety requirements.
- Monitor Production to Ensure Adherence to Quality Protocols:
- Regularly observe and assess production processes to ensure they are in line with established quality protocols.
- Identify any deviations from quality standards and implement immediate corrective actions.
- Perform Tests to Verify Product Specifications:
- Conduct various tests, including physical, chemical, and sensory evaluations, to verify that products meet the required specifications.
- Use specialized equipment and techniques to assess the quality and safety of products.
- Document Inspections, Tests, and Corrective Actions:
- Maintain detailed records of all inspections, tests, and corrective measures taken during the quality control process.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on quality findings and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Identify and Resolve Quality Issues in Collaboration with the Production Team:
- Work closely with production staff to identify quality issues and implement solutions promptly.
- Facilitate problem-solving sessions and continuous improvement initiatives to prevent recurring issues.
- Train Staff on Quality Standards and Procedures:
- Develop and deliver training programs to educate staff on quality control procedures and standards.
- Ensure that all employees are well-informed about the importance of quality and their role in maintaining it.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Agriculture, Chemistry, or a related field is required.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control, preferably within the agriculture or food production industry.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of industry standards and regulations. Proficiency in quality control methodologies and experience with relevant testing equipment are essential.
